eLearning to build ESG capacity

This flexible, online training programme is designed to build ESG-related knowledge and skills for students, teachers, researchers, and university staff. With short, self-paced learning modules, the programme promotes sustainable thinking and inclusive action across campus life and academic roles.

Environmental Area

The curriculum begins with the Campus Operations module, which addresses energy management, emissions reduction, water conservation, waste management, renewable energy use, and biodiversity preservation. This module is key to reducing the direct environmental impact of campus activities, forming the foundation of sustainability efforts within HEIs.

Next, the Research and Innovation module integrates sustainability into academic and research practices, focusing on environmental impact assessments and the creation of sustainability-focused curricula and initiatives. It promotes a culture of innovation that supports sustainable development within HEIs.

The third environmental module, Procurement, explores sustainable procurement policies, green supply chain management, and climate change adaptation strategies. It ensures that HEI procurement processes actively support environmental sustainability across institutional operations.

Social Area

The Wellbeing module centers on mental health support, overall wellbeing, and campus safety measures. By prioritizing the physical and mental health of students and staff, it fosters a safe, supportive, and productive academic environment.

The third module, Research and Innovation in the social area, explores the social impacts of research, innovation for social good, and community engagement. It ensures that research and innovation consider their societal effects and promote socially responsible, community-oriented practices.
